Glasgow Road AMS are meeting on Wednesday, November 6th at 2:00 pm at the home of Barbara Bull to pack Samaritan’s Purse shoe boxes.

Please have all your items and/or boxes available to members prior to that or join us at the meeting! Donations are also welcome to cover the $10 per box cost of shipping.

There will be an Eldership Election to fill a vacancy on the session of Hunter River Presbyterian Church created by the retirement of Shirley Andrews.

And another at Brookfield to fill a vacancy created by the retirement of Allister Cummings.




       November 4th, Monday,7:30 pm- Joint Session will meet in Glasgow Road Church Hall


  November 11th, Monday – Remembrance Day Services at Hunter River 10:00 am, then Wheatley River 11:00 am followed by

Chili and Chowder Lunch in Glasgow Road Church Hall at noon.

Cost is by donation in support of Glasgow Road AMS missions and their Foster Child.


November 12th, Tuesday, 6:30 pm – PEI Presbytery meets in Hartsville Presbyterian Church.

          Our regular weekly events for the charge…..


        – Prayer meeting – at Phillip and Shirley Weatherbee’s house on Tuesday evening 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm. All are welcome.


       – Youth Group –  Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm in Central Queens school gym.

Remember…no school, no youth group!

Phase ll and Friends will present a concert featuring songs by Elvis Presley, titled, “Are You Lonesome Tonight?”. Central Queens United Church, Hunter River, is excited to host this event on Sun., Nov. 3rd at 7:30 p.m. Don’t hesitate to wear your saddle shoes, blue suede shoes, bobbie socks, or poodle skirt! From rock and roll to emotional ballads, you won’t want to miss this incredible band taking you back to the nostalgic Elvis era!
Admission is $12 at the door with light refreshments served. Doors open at 6:30 for you to get a great seat.

The Hunter River AMS will meet Saturday November 9th at 9:30 am for a breakfast meeting at Hunter River Presbyterian Church.

“Celebrating Baby Oliver!”
Hunter River Presbyterian Church will host a baby shower on Sunday, November 10th for Baby “Oliver” son of Jana and Morgan Sears and little brother to Rory!!!
The celebration will begin after 9:30 service. Please consider bringing sandwiches/soup to share.

In case I missed someone,the Joint Session meeting that was scheduled for tonight in Glasgow Road is postponed until next Monday at 7:30 pm.
I know it’s Remembrance Day and if there is a change again you will be notified.
